Gary Ramos
We hired Mr. Stoll to handle the purchase of a small commercial property for our family business in Cedar Rapids. With his 24 years of experience and recognition in real estate law, we felt confident in his technical ability to navigate the transaction. His deep knowledge of contracts and the local market was evident, and the closing itself went smoothly without any legal hiccups. However, our experience was mixed. While he was thorough when we had his attention, there were often significant delays in receiving responses to emails and calls. At times, we felt we had to follow up multiple times to get updates on simple questions, which added unnecessary stress to the process. For a straightforward deal, his expertise from Shuttleworth & Ingersoll certainly delivered a solid result. Yet, the overall client service felt more transactional than collaborative. He is undoubtedly a skilled attorney, as his Lawyer of the Year recognition suggests, but the administrative and communication aspects of our engagement were just adequate.
