Our company recently engaged in a multi-million dollar acquisition of a mixed-use property in Pittsburgh, a transaction fraught with complex zoning issues and environmental due diligence. We were referred to Marnie Schock at Babst Calland, and it was the best decision we could have made. With 27 years of deep experience, Marnie’s command of both corporate structuring and the intricate details of Pennsylvania real estate law was immediately apparent. She didn't just review documents; she provided strategic guidance that shaped our entire approach, identifying risks in the purchase agreement we had completely overlooked. Her dual recognition in corporate and real estate law is clearly earned. Marnie and her team conducted exhaustive due diligence, negotiated tenaciously on our behalf, and navigated last-minute title complications with remarkable calm and efficiency. Beyond her technical expertise, her communication was consistently clear, proactive, and patient with our many questions. The transaction closed smoothly and on schedule, with our interests thoroughly protected. For any business facing a significant real estate transaction or corporate matter in the region, I cannot recommend Marnie Schock more highly. She is a true asset and a consummate professional.
