I engaged Mark Norris at Sullivan & Worcester to assist with the refinancing of a commercial loan for my small manufacturing business in Fort Worth. His technical knowledge in bank lending was evident. He was able to navigate the specific covenants the larger bank was pushing for, and his background in acquisition finance likely gave him a good perspective on our lender's position. The final documents were solid, and the deal closed. However, the process felt a bit disjointed. While his analysis was sharp when we had it, there were stretches of several days where updates were sparse, requiring me to follow up. For a straightforward refinancing, the pace and level of client management felt more suited to a much larger, complex transaction. He is clearly a capable attorney, especially for high-end finance work as his recognition suggests, but for my more routine commercial lending needs, the attentiveness didn't quite match the expertise. He got the job done correctly, but the client experience was merely adequate.
