Competent handling of a partnership dispute, but communication could improve

I engaged Marcus Eason at McGinnis Lochridge to resolve a complex dispute between myself and my former business partner regarding the dissolution of our LLC. His background in business organizations and commercial litigation was evident from the start; he clearly understood the legal intricacies of partnership agreements and fiduciary duties. The case involved sensitive employment-related allegations from our former staff, and his recognition in labor and employment law was a key factor in my decision to hire him. Ultimately, we reached a settlement that protected my interests, which was the primary goal. However, my experience was a mixed bag. While Marcus is undoubtedly knowledgeable and achieved a solid result, I often found myself waiting for responses to emails and calls, sometimes for several days. This created periods of uncertainty during a stressful process. His legal strategy was sound, but the client management aspect felt somewhat lacking. For straightforward legal matters where you need capable representation, he is a good choice, but be prepared to manage your expectations regarding communication cadence. He is a competent attorney who got the job done, but the process could have been smoother.
