I worked with Malcolm Bates, Ph.D., on a intellectual property matter involving a patent dispute, and his expertise was evident in navigating the complexities of the case. However, while his legal guidance was solid, I found his communication to be somewhat inconsistent. Responses were often delayed, and follow-up meetings required multiple reminders. While the case was resolved satisfactorily, I had to manage my expectations regarding responsiveness. For those needing deep IP expertise, Malcolm is a strong candidate, but be prepared for a slower-than-expected pace. Overall, a competent but not exceptional experience.
