Competent on regulatory matters, but communication could improve

I engaged Maddie Spearman at Bradley Arant to assist my small senior living facility with a state licensing survey response. Her background in the Healthcare Practice Group and her recognized work in nonprofit law were evident; she understood the regulatory landscape in Tennessee thoroughly. The documentation she prepared was precise and helped us navigate the compliance issues successfully. However, my experience was a mixed bag. While the final work product was solid, there were noticeable delays in receiving drafts, and I often had to follow up for status updates. At times, communication felt more reactive than proactive. For straightforward regulatory guidance, Maddie is certainly knowledgeable, especially given her focus on long-term care. Yet, for a client who values consistent touchpoints and clear timelines, the service felt merely adequate. Her expertise in real estate law, as noted in her recognitions, wasn't directly tested in our matter, but her core competency in healthcare regulation is clear. I would describe her as a capable attorney who gets the job done, though the client experience aspect could be more polished.
