Expert guidance on a complex commercial refinancing

Our company recently engaged Luke Falgoust at Jones Walker to navigate a complex commercial real estate refinancing. With multiple properties and a syndicate of lenders involved, we needed counsel who understood both the transactional mechanics and the strategic implications. Luke’s deep focus on representing borrowers in finance, honed over his 14-year career, was immediately apparent. He efficiently dissected the term sheets, identified several unfavorable covenants that others had missed, and negotiated terms that preserved our operational flexibility. His recognition in Banking and Finance Law is well-deserved, reflecting a practical, deal-oriented approach. The entire process felt collaborative; he took time to explain the nuances of Louisiana law and Pepperdine’s emphasis on practical lawyering clearly shone through. The only minor critique would be that during peak deal times, response times could occasionally stretch to a full business day, but his team always kept things moving. We achieved a fantastic outcome and will definitely seek his counsel for future transactions.
