I worked with Lorese Phillips on an elder law matter, specifically helping my parents set up a trust to manage their assets as they age. Lorese’s expertise in Elder Law, as recognized by Best Lawyers, was evident in her ability to navigate the complex legal structures involved. She clearly understood the nuances of estate planning and elder care regulations, which was reassuring. However, I found the communication to be somewhat inconsistent. While she was knowledgeable when we met in person or over the phone, follow-up emails were often delayed, and responses were occasionally vague. The process took longer than anticipated, partly due to these delays. Additionally, the initial consultation was thorough, but the subsequent updates could have been more detailed. I appreciated her professionalism and legal acumen, but I wish the overall experience had been smoother. For straightforward elder law needs, she is competent, but I’d recommend setting clear expectations on timelines and communication upfront.
