Lloyd Pierre-Louis is a member of Dickinson Wright’s Cannabis Practice Group. His practice focuses on government affairs and administrative law, and particularly the legal cannabis and hemp industries. He represents clients providing the industry with equity and debt capital, equipment, devices, and other services.
He also assists entities and individuals through every aspect of licensure, business operation, regulatory compliance, employment, and transactions with related businesses.Lloyd's lobbying and administrative efforts have resulted in numerous Ohio enactments, including bill amendments securing funds for vulnerable populations, Ohio’s Medical Marijuana Act and expanding options for opioid use disorder, and numerous client licensures within a highly regulated cannabis industry. He has authored numerous articles, presented to trade groups and has been interviewed regarding ongoing issues inside and outside the legal cannabis industry. His prior experience includes litigation in all phases of administrative appeals for licensees facing state action, redistricting cases applying state and federal law, and other types of civil matters in state and federal courts.
