Competent corporate counsel for a standard acquisition

Lisa Haddad at Goodwin provided solid legal guidance for our mid-sized company's recent acquisition. Her deep experience, underscored by nearly three decades in practice and her Harvard Law background, was evident in her handling of the due diligence and governance aspects. The recognition she's received in M&A and Corporate Law is well-founded. However, our experience was mixed. While the final work product was thorough, communication timelines were sometimes longer than expected, and fee structures could have been clearer from the outset. She is undoubtedly a knowledgeable attorney, but the overall service felt more transactional than collaborative. For a complex but straightforward deal, she gets the job done competently.
