Competent on banking matters, but communication could improve

I hired Mr. Grigorián to assist with a complex loan modification for my small business, a process that involved navigating both the original lending agreement and new regulatory requirements. His educational background from Georgetown's LL.M. program was evident in his grasp of the intricate details, and his firm's recognition in Banking and Finance Law gave me initial confidence. He successfully negotiated more favorable terms with our lender, which was the primary goal. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. While his analysis was sound, there were periods of several days where I received no updates, requiring me to follow up repeatedly. His explanations, though technically accurate, sometimes felt more academic than practical for my immediate business needs. For straightforward legal drafting within his recognized expertise, he is certainly capable. Yet, for clients who prioritize consistent, proactive communication and managing expectations throughout a process, there is room for improvement. The outcome was satisfactory, but the journey to get there felt less collaborative than I had hoped.
