Competent and recognized, but communication could improve

I hired Laurel Brown at Corr Cronin to handle a commercial contract dispute for my small business. Her background in Commercial Litigation was evident, and her recognition by Best Lawyers in that area gave me confidence. She was thorough in her analysis of the case and prepared solid legal arguments. However, the experience was a bit mixed. While the legal work itself was competent, I sometimes found communication to be less proactive than I expected. There were periods where I had to follow up for updates, and responses to emails could take a couple of days. For a newer attorney, her grasp of the appellate-level arguments she might need was impressive, but the day-to-day client management felt like it was still developing. She successfully resolved my matter, but the process required more patience on my end than I anticipated.
