She demonstrated clear competence in structuring the transaction and navigating the regulatory nuances specific to the energy sector, which was invaluable. Her analysis of the contractual obligations was thorough, and she identified several potential liabilities I had overlooked. However, my experience was mixed on the operational side. Response times were sometimes longer than expected, and I occasionally had to follow up on pending items. While her legal advice was sound, I felt the communication regarding process timelines and fee structures could have been more proactive and detailed from the outset. For straightforward corporate legal work in the DC area, Laura is certainly knowledgeable and capable. For clients who prioritize constant updates and very hands-on communication, setting clear expectations at the beginning of the engagement would be advisable.
