Lany Villalobos provided solid legal advice on a complex executive compensation package I was negotiating. Her knowledge of ERISA and tax implications, as you'd expect from her recognition in those areas, was evident and gave me confidence. The documentation she drafted was thorough and precise. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. There were periods where responses to emails took several days, which created anxiety during time-sensitive negotiations. While her analysis was always correct, I sometimes wished for more proactive updates on the process rather than having to follow up. For straightforward matters within her niche, she is certainly capable, but the client service aspect felt just adequate, not exceptional.
