Competent on corporate governance, but communication was inconsistent

I engaged Lance Maynard at Nelson Mullins to assist with a corporate restructuring and compliance review for my small manufacturing business in the Greenville area. His background in Corporate Governance and Compliance Law, as noted by his recognition from Best Lawyers, was evident. He provided a thorough analysis of our bylaws and identified several potential regulatory pitfalls we had overlooked. The work product itself was solid. However, the experience was mixed. There were periods of several days where I received no response to emails, and when we did connect, some explanations felt rushed. For a firm of this caliber, I expected more proactive updates. The billing was clear, but the value felt appropriate, not exceptional. Lance knows his field, particularly in Mergers and Acquisitions and governance matters, but managing client expectations and communication could be improved. He resolved our immediate issues competently, but the process lacked the seamless experience I anticipated.
