Competent on insurance claim, but communication was inconsistent

I hired Kizzy Bagga at Hall & Wilcox to handle a denied business interruption insurance claim for my small Baltimore-based retail store. Her background in Insurance Law, including the recognition from Best Lawyers, gave me confidence in her technical expertise. She was indeed knowledgeable and successfully negotiated a partial settlement with the insurer, which was a positive outcome. However, the experience was mixed. While her analysis of the policy language was sharp, there were periods where communication was slow, and I often had to follow up for updates. Given her practice in Sydney, the time zone difference with Baltimore sometimes created delays, making it feel like my case wasn't always a top priority. For a straightforward matter, her two years of focused experience in this niche were sufficient, but I expected more proactive management. She is clearly capable in her field, but the client service aspect felt just adequate. I would recommend her for the legal work itself, but set clear expectations about response times from the outset.
