Bio

Kim, a managing partner with Constangy, focuses her practice on helping employers proactively address workplace manners. Kim believes that the best way to minimize litigation in the workplace is to address issues before they become problems and helps her clients achieve this through assisting in the development of workplace policies, investigation procedures and training materials, preparing employee handbooks and procedure manuals, conducting training for management, supervisors, and employees on workplace conduct, and advising on problem employees. When litigation arises, however, Kim represents clients before federal and state agencies as well as in the state and federal courts of Missouri and Kansas.Kim also works with employers to develop strategies for addressing union issues, including running union avoidance campaigns, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and administering labor contracts. She represents clients in arbitrations of union grievances and in litigation before the National Labor Relations Board.Kim takes time to learn the ins and outs of her clients’ business, because her goal is not only to help her clients achieve their legal objectives, but also to achieve their business objectives as well. She brings a common sense approach to identifying risks and opportunities, working with in-house counsel and human resources to add value for their organization. One of Kim’s clients had this to say, “Kim is not only an exceptional attorney, but she is also an exceptional person. I look forward to working with her for years to come.” Kim, a managing partner with Constangy, focuses her practice on helping employers proactively address workplace manners. Expert Guidance & Outstanding Results

Kimberly Seten exceeded all expectations in handling my complex employment matter. As a managing partner at Constangy, her 27 years of experience immediately provided me with confidence. She demonstrated exceptional knowledge in employment law, particularly in proactive workplace solutions - exactly what I needed. Kim's recognition as 'Lawyer of the Year' (2023) for Employment Law certainly proved accurate. She walked me through a difficult non-compete dispute with meticulous attention to detail and achieved a favorable resolution I never thought possible. Her ability to blend legal expertise with genuine concern for clients made the entire process far less stressful. I've already recommended her to colleagues facing similar workplace challenges. Truly outstanding service from someone at the top of their field.
