Experienced and knowledgeable, but communication could improve

I hired Kevin McLaughlin of Wagner, McLaughlin & Whittemore for a complex legal malpractice matter after a previous attorney mishandled my case. With nearly three decades of experience and his recognition in that specific field, I felt confident in his technical expertise, which was evident. He clearly understood the nuances of proving a fellow attorney's negligence. However, the experience was a mixed bag. While the legal strategy was sound, there were often significant delays in receiving responses to emails or updates on my file. At times, I felt I had to follow up repeatedly to get basic information. For a straightforward matter, his deep knowledge in malpractice and personal injury litigation is undeniable, but the client service and communication fell short of the high level I expected given his profile and awards. The outcome was acceptable, but the process felt more burdensome than it should have.
