A competent and experienced attorney, but communication was inconsistent

I hired Kevin Dalton of Fisher Phillips to advise my small business on a complex employee termination that risked a wrongful discharge claim. With his 29 years of experience and recognition in Employment Law - Management, I was confident in his legal expertise. His counsel during the process was sound and his deep knowledge of North Carolina labor law was evident, which helped us navigate the situation without litigation. However, my experience was mixed. While the ultimate outcome was satisfactory, there were periods where responses to emails took several days, leaving me uncertain during critical moments. For a firm of this caliber, I expected more proactive updates. His background from the University of Baltimore and long tenure are impressive, and he clearly knows this area of law inside and out. For straightforward matters, his competence is not in question, but for clients who prioritize consistent, timely communication, there may be room for improvement. He is a solid attorney who delivered on the core legal work.
