A competent patent attorney with some communication delays

I engaged Kenneth Gandy and his firm for a complex patent validity evaluation related to a pharmaceutical formulation. His deep technical background in biochemistry and his decades of experience in IP law, particularly in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, were immediately evident. He provided a thorough and technically sound analysis of the prior art, and his recognition as a 'Lawyer of the Year' in Biotechnology and Life Sciences is clearly well-earned. The final work product was of high quality. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. Communication was sometimes slower than expected, with responses to emails taking several days during critical phases. While his expertise justified his rates, the process felt less collaborative than I had hoped; at times, it was difficult to get a clear timeline for deliverables. For straightforward, high-stakes patent analysis, Ken is a solid choice, but be prepared to manage the engagement proactively to ensure timelines align with your business needs.
