Competent and recognized, but communication could improve

I hired Kelly Schwartz of Fitch Law Partners to assist with a complex post-divorce modification involving child custody and support. Her background from Boston College Law School and her recognition by Best Lawyers in Family Law were certainly factors in my decision. In the arbitration process itself, her knowledge was evident; she was prepared and understood the nuances of Massachusetts family law. However, my experience was mixed. While the legal outcome was ultimately satisfactory, there were consistent delays in getting responses to emails and phone calls. At times, I felt I had to follow up multiple times for updates, which added stress to an already difficult situation. For straightforward legal advice, she is clearly capable, and her five years of focused experience in this area shows. Yet, managing client expectations and maintaining clear, proactive communication seemed to be an area for improvement. If you need solid legal representation and are prepared to be patient with the administrative side, Kelly Schwartz is a competent choice.
