Competent and experienced, but communication could improve

I hired Kelly Putney at Bassford Remele to defend my small accounting firm against a professional malpractice claim. With over 25 years in professional liability, her deep experience was evident. She understood the nuances of the case immediately and her recognition as a 'Lawyer of the Year' in this field is well-deserved. The legal strategy was sound and we achieved an acceptable settlement. However, the process felt somewhat impersonal. Response times to emails were occasionally slower than I'd hoped, and I sometimes had to follow up for updates. For straightforward, high-stakes defense, Kelly is a capable and knowledgeable attorney, but be prepared to manage your own expectations regarding client communication.
