I engaged Keith Varian at Harris Beach Murtha to assist with the purchase of a commercial property in New Haven. With his 24 years of experience and recognition in real estate law, I was confident in his technical ability to handle the transaction. His advice on the zoning due diligence, drawing from his noted expertise in land use, was particularly thorough and saved us from a potential issue. The work product itself was solid. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. At times, there were noticeable delays in receiving responses to emails, which added stress during critical negotiation phases. While his counsel was always accurate when received, the process felt less proactive than I had hoped. For straightforward matters, his deep knowledge of Connecticut real estate law is evident, but managing client expectations and communication flow could be stronger. He is a capable attorney who delivered on the core legal work.
