Competent and knowledgeable, but communication was inconsistent

Katie Rhoten at Gateway Employment Law handled my wrongful termination case. Her knowledge of Missouri employment law is evident, and I appreciated her nine years of experience, including the recognition she's received in labor and employment litigation. She was thorough in reviewing my severance agreement and clearly understood the legal nuances. However, the experience was mixed. While she was direct and capable in our meetings, there were significant delays in getting responses to emails, which added to my stress during an already difficult time. Her advice was sound, but I sometimes felt like I had to follow up repeatedly to move things forward. For straightforward legal analysis, she is certainly competent, but the client service aspect could be more consistent to match her legal expertise.
