Christine Reyes
I hired Kathryn Miller to assist with a complex severance negotiation after a significant corporate restructuring. Her 45 years of experience, particularly her background in employment law and class actions, was immediately apparent. She is undoubtedly a savvy negotiator who understood the nuances of my situation. Her reputation in arbitration and mediation is well-earned, and she leveraged that to secure a settlement that was, on paper, quite fair. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. While she was always professional, communication was not as proactive as I had hoped. There were periods of several days where I received no updates, and I often had to follow up myself. Her focus on individuals is clear, but the process felt less collaborative than expected. For straightforward legal matters, her expertise is solid, but if you value frequent, detailed communication and a more hands-on advisory relationship, you may need to manage those expectations. She is competent and knows the law, but the client service aspect was just adequate.
