Katherine Hyland at Pierce Atwood provided solid legal advice for a difficult landlord-tenant issue I had in Boston. Her analysis of the lease terms and Massachusetts tenant rights was thorough and accurate, leading to a reasonable settlement. However, the process felt somewhat formulaic for a general practice attorney with her level of experience. Responses to emails often took several business days, and I sometimes had to follow up for updates. She is clearly knowledgeable and got the job done, but the client communication and management of expectations could be more proactive.
