I engaged Katherine Hedges at Rath Young Pignatelli to assist with a commercial dispute involving a former business partner. The matter involved breach of contract and some complex financial entanglements, which fell squarely within her recognized expertise in Commercial Litigation. From a technical standpoint, Katherine was thoroughly competent. Her understanding of the legal landscape was evident, and the documents she drafted were precise. It's clear why she has received recognition in her field. The outcome of our mediation was satisfactory, largely due to her solid preparation. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. While she was always professional in our meetings, there were periods where communication lagged. Responses to emails sometimes took several days, and there were a few instances where I felt I had to follow up to get updates on case developments. For a straightforward matter, this was manageable, but it did add a layer of stress. Her four years of experience showed in her legal work, though at times I wondered if a heavier caseload impacted responsiveness. She is undoubtedly a knowledgeable attorney who can handle the work, but managing client expectations and maintaining consistent communication seem to be areas for growth. I would describe her service as adequate and effective, but not exceptional in terms of client experience.
