Competent but communication could be more consistent

I engaged Kaitlyn Stone of Barnes & Thornburg to handle a commercial lease dispute for my small business in Morristown. Her background in both Commercial Litigation and Litigation - Real Estate, as noted in her professional recognitions, was clearly evident. She understood the nuances of the case immediately and her 12 years of experience showed in her strategic approach. The outcome we achieved was fundamentally sound and protected our interests. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. While Kaitlyn was always prepared for our meetings, proactive communication between them was lacking. There were periods of several days where I had to follow up on emails, and updates on procedural steps weren't always forthcoming unless I asked. For the premium rate, I expected a more consistent client liaison experience. She is undoubtedly a knowledgeable attorney, as her Seton Hall education and Best Lawyers recognition suggest, but the day-to-day management of the client relationship felt just adequate. I would describe her work as effective and professional, but the service aspect didn't quite match the legal expertise.
