Competent handling of our commercial lease negotiation

Our small business engaged Justin Kingston at McCuaig Desrochers to negotiate a complex commercial lease in Detroit. His background in real estate law, including the recognition by Best Lawyers, was evident in the thoroughness of his contract review. He identified several potential liabilities in the initial landlord draft that we would have missed. The outcome was solid and protected our interests. However, the process felt somewhat impersonal. Communication sometimes had delays of several days, and we often had to follow up for updates. While the legal work was technically proficient, managing our expectations on timelines could have been better. He is clearly knowledgeable, particularly in blending corporate and real estate considerations, but the client experience was merely adequate.
