I engaged Mr. García Jabaloy at Ospina Abogados to assist with a complex tax matter related to the sale of a family-owned business in New York. His recognition in tax law was a primary factor in my decision, and in that specific arena, his technical knowledge was evident. However, my experience was a mix of clear expertise and administrative frustrations. While his analysis was thorough, there were noticeable delays in receiving responses to emails, sometimes stretching to a week, which created anxiety during time-sensitive phases. Our consultations, though productive, often felt rushed, as if he was moving directly from one client to the next. The outcome of my matter was ultimately satisfactory from a legal standpoint, which is why I acknowledge his skill. Yet, for the premium rates associated with a New York City firm, I had expected a more proactive and communicative partnership. He is undoubtedly a capable attorney in his field, but the overall client experience felt transactional and could benefit from more consistent engagement and clearer timelines for follow-up.
