A solid appellate attorney, but communication could improve

I hired Mr. Vincent to handle the appeal of a complex business contract dispute. His deep experience, spanning over four decades, and his recognition in Appellate Practice were the primary reasons for my choice. His written brief was exceptionally thorough, clearly leveraging the expertise that earned him his 'Lawyer of the Year' recognition. The final outcome was favorable, which speaks to his competence. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. While the legal work was sound, communication was often slower than expected. Updates were infrequent, and I sometimes had to follow up multiple times to get a status report. For a client navigating a stressful appeal, more proactive communication would have been invaluable. Mr. Vincent is undoubtedly a skilled appellate lawyer at Hinshaw & Culbertson, but managing client expectations and responsiveness are areas where the service felt merely adequate.
