Competent but communication could be more consistent
Joe Newbold at O'Neil Cannon handled a contract dispute for my small business. His legal knowledge is evident, and his background from Michigan Law and recognition in Wisconsin Super Lawyers Rising Stars shows his capability. He successfully negotiated a settlement, which was our goal. However, the process felt a bit impersonal at times. There were occasional delays in receiving responses to emails, and while he explained the legal strategy, I sometimes wished for more proactive updates on case status. For straightforward commercial matters, he gets the job done competently. My expectations for clear, consistent communication throughout the engagement were only partially met, which is why I'm giving a solid, middle-of-the-road rating.
