I engaged José Enrique Cruz Lozano of Garrigues in Albuquerque to assist my small manufacturing business with a state-level environmental compliance review. His recognized expertise in Environmental Law was evident; he was thorough in analyzing our waste disposal procedures and his advice on navigating the NMED regulations was sound and ultimately successful. The work product was professional. However, my experience was mixed. There were periods of several days where I received no response to my emails, which created some anxiety during the process. While the final outcome was satisfactory, the fee structure felt somewhat opaque for a general practice attorney, and I was left wishing for more proactive updates. He is clearly knowledgeable, particularly in the environmental arena as his recognition suggests, but the client service aspect felt more transactional than collaborative. I would describe him as a capable lawyer who got the job done, though the process could have been smoother with better communication channels.
