Our manufacturing company faced a daunting compliance issue with the Pennsylvania DEP regarding stormwater discharge permits, which carried significant potential fines and operational delays. We engaged Jonathan Spergel based on his firm's strong reputation in environmental law. From our first meeting, his deep knowledge was evident; he seamlessly referenced relevant state regulations and precedents, clearly drawing from his three decades of focused practice. His background as the firm's former managing partner instilled confidence in his strategic oversight. Jonathan and his team crafted a meticulous response and negotiated a favorable settlement that allowed us to implement a corrective plan without crippling penalties. His recognition in Chambers USA and as a Super Lawyer is well-deserved, reflecting the caliber of counsel he provides. The only minor critique is that during particularly busy periods, response times from his direct line could occasionally stretch to a full business day, though his associates were always responsive. Overall, Jonathan is a superb attorney who combines sharp legal acumen with practical business sense. We continue to rely on him for ongoing regulatory counsel and highly recommend him for any complex environmental matter.
