A competent attorney for complex land use matters

We engaged John Paradee and his firm to represent us in a contentious zoning variance application for a small commercial property. His deep expertise in land use and zoning law was immediately apparent, and his recent recognition as Lawyer of the Year is well-earned. With over three decades of experience, he navigated the municipal process with clear strategic knowledge. However, our experience was mixed. While the legal outcome was ultimately successful, communication was sometimes slower than we preferred, with responses taking several days during critical periods. His billing was precise, but we felt the process could have been more proactively managed to set clearer timelines. He is undoubtedly a skilled practitioner in this niche field, but the client service aspect felt more transactional than we had hoped for a matter of such importance to our business.
