Competent in complex litigation, but communication could improve

I engaged John P. Jett at Kilpatrick Townsend to handle a complex commercial dispute involving a former business partner. His deep experience in commercial litigation, spanning 17 years, was evident from the start. He clearly understood the nuances of our case, and his background in intellectual property litigation was particularly relevant as our dispute involved proprietary processes. His recognition by Best Lawyers in these fields gave us confidence in his technical expertise. The legal strategy he developed was sound, and the outcome was ultimately favorable. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. At times, communication felt delayed, with responses taking longer than expected. While his analysis was thorough, it sometimes came in dense, less accessible formats without a clear summary. For the premium rate, I had hoped for a more proactive and streamlined client experience. John is undoubtedly a skilled attorney who knows the law inside and out, but the service aspect felt more transactional than collaborative.
