Competent and knowledgeable, but communication could improve

I hired John Bisanz at Henson Efron to handle a complex breach of contract dispute for my small business. His deep knowledge in commercial litigation was evident from the start; he clearly understood the nuances of the case and his 17 years of experience showed in his strategic approach. His recognition by Best Lawyers in this area is well-deserved. However, the experience was a mixed bag. While the legal work was solid, there were often significant delays in receiving responses to emails or updates. At times, I felt I had to follow up multiple times to get clarity on next steps, which added unnecessary stress. The outcome of my case was ultimately satisfactory, but the process felt less collaborative than I had hoped. For straightforward legal matters where you need a capable attorney, John is a good choice, but be prepared to manage your expectations regarding communication.
