Competent in complex zoning matters, but communication was inconsistent

John Casey Pipes handled a challenging zoning variance case for my commercial property in Mobile. His deep knowledge of land use law, backed by nearly three decades at Helmsing Leach, was evident, and his recent recognition in the field is well-deserved. The legal strategy was sound. However, the experience was mixed. There were periods where updates were infrequent, and responses to emails could take several days, which added to our stress. While the outcome was ultimately favorable, the process required more proactive follow-up on our part than expected. He is clearly an expert, but client communication could be more consistent.
