Competent on IP matters, but communication was inconsistent

I engaged Jeremiah Nixon at The Simon Law Firm for assistance with a trademark dispute and some related business entity questions for my small tech startup in St. Louis. His recognition in Intellectual Property and Business Organizations was a key factor in my choice. On the substantive legal work, he was clearly knowledgeable. The strategy he outlined for defending our mark was sound, and he efficiently handled the paperwork for our LLC restructuring. However, the experience was mixed on the service side. There were several instances where replies to my emails took longer than expected, leaving me to follow up. While he explained the legal concepts well in our meetings, I sometimes felt I had to be the one to initiate status updates on the case. For straightforward legal matters in his recognized fields, he gets the job done competently. Just be prepared to manage your own expectations regarding the flow of communication throughout the process.
