I sought Jennifer E. Okcular's expertise for a complex estate planning matter involving tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies. With her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida and her recognition in Chambers USA for Private Wealth Law, I had high expectations for her technical knowledge—which she certainly delivered. Her analysis of our family's assets and the tax implications of various estate planning tools was thorough and complemented by her experience in asset protection strategies at Nelson & Nelson, PA. However, the communication process felt somewhat impersonal. While she clearly explained the legal concepts, the turnaround time for responses wasn't always prompt, which added some stress to an already time-sensitive matter. Additionally, while her strategic recommendations were sound, the fee structure was slightly higher than expected, though justified by her professional awards and track record. Overall, I would describe her as a competent attorney with specialized expertise in trusts and estates, but with room for improvement in responsiveness and client communication.
