I have developed strong relationships with judges, arbitrators and mediators and understand their particular nuances to achieve my client’s business objectives.Recently, I obtained summary judgment decisions in Rhode Island federal court in a contract dispute between a national pharmacy chain and one of its former suppliers and a national commercial printing company in a contract dispute with a former executive. Similarly, I achieved a summary judgment decision in Massachusetts federal court in a lease dispute between the largest bakery in North America and a former landlord for a distribution center.It is important that I understand my client’s business and their objectives, which enables me to become a trusted advisor and knowledgeable advocate for them. I am currently working with clients in the construction, health care, franchise, hospitality, energy and manufacturing industries.Many of my litigation clients have hired me following the conclusion of a lawsuit to act as their outside general counsel. I manage their litigation and non-litigation needs drawing upon the firm’s breadth of resources and experience.I am a frequent speaker and writer concerning litigation and construction-related issues.
