Experienced and knowledgeable, but communication could improve

I hired Mr. Harris to advise my small business on a complex employee termination issue. His deep knowledge of Hawaii's employment law was immediately apparent, and his decades of experience, including his recognition in labor law management, gave me confidence. He correctly navigated the situation, and we avoided litigation. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. Responses to emails were sometimes delayed by several days, and I occasionally felt I had to follow up to get updates on straightforward questions. For the premium rate, I expected more proactive communication. While his legal strategy was sound and he clearly knows his field inside and out, the client service aspect felt just adequate. He is a competent attorney who gets results, but managing expectations and responsiveness could be better.
