James Thomas
I hired Jeffrey Myers to assist with a complex business dispute that had tax implications, drawn to his extensive experience and the 'Lawyer of the Year' recognitions in tax litigation. His 36 years of practice and background in intellectual property were evident; he understood the technical nuances of our software licensing issue immediately. The legal strategy he developed was sound, and we achieved an acceptable settlement. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. Communication was sometimes slow, with emails taking several days for a response, and there were unexpected delays in document preparation. While I never doubted his legal acumen or the quality of his work from Wilcox & Myers PC, managing expectations and client communication could be improved. For straightforward, high-stakes matters where his deep expertise is critical, he is a competent choice, but be prepared to exercise patience with the process.
