When our established medical practice in Lexington faced a complex and high-stakes regulatory challenge involving a certificate of need dispute and allegations of improper billing, we were referred to Janet Craig. From our first consultation, her 51 years of experience were evident. She didn't just understand the letter of health care law; she possessed a profound, practical grasp of the entire regulatory landscape in Kentucky, from licensure intricacies to HIPAA compliance and managed care contract nuances. Janet meticulously deconstructed the opposing arguments, guiding us through every step with clarity and unwavering professionalism. Her recognition in areas like Insurance Law and her past 'Lawyer of the Year' award weren't just accolades on a page—they translated into a strategic advantage. She anticipated regulatory hurdles we hadn't even considered, particularly around reimbursement and fraud and abuse statutes, and crafted a defense that was both robust and pragmatic. The result was a favorable settlement that preserved our practice's operations and reputation. Janet is more than an attorney; she is a trusted counselor. Her dedication, from her team at Stites & Harbison to her personal oversight, was exceptional. For any business navigating the dense thicket of health care or insurance regulation, I cannot recommend Janet A. Craig more highly.
