Competent and experienced, but communication could improve

I hired James Dedman for a complex property damage claim dispute with my insurer. His 23 years of experience and recognition in insurance litigation were evident; he clearly understood the legal landscape. The outcome of my case was ultimately satisfactory. However, the process felt somewhat impersonal. There were periods where updates were sparse, and responses to emails sometimes took longer than expected. While I appreciate his expertise from Gallivan, White & Boyd and his solid legal strategy, the client communication aspect felt just adequate. He is a capable attorney, but managing expectations on responsiveness would enhance the experience.
