Competent and knowledgeable, but communication could be more consistent

I hired Jaclyn Gans at Elam & Burke to handle a commercial dispute with a former business partner over a failed joint venture. Her background in commercial litigation was evident from the start; she clearly understood the legal landscape and her analysis of our contract was thorough. Her recognition in areas like construction law, while not directly applicable to my case, speaks to the firm's solid reputation. The outcome we achieved was fair and protected my interests, which is ultimately what I needed. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. There were periods where I had to follow up multiple times for updates, and responses to emails could take several days. While I never doubted her legal expertise or dedication to the case file, I sometimes felt like I had to manage my own expectations regarding timelines and communication flow. For straightforward legal matters where you need a capable attorney in Boise, Jaclyn will get the job done. Just be prepared to be proactive in staying informed throughout the process.
