I engaged Hugh Marbury at Cozen O'Connor for a commercial dispute involving a significant breach of contract with a former supplier. His deep experience, particularly the 30 years noted in complex financial transactions, was evident. He understood the nuances of the case quickly, and his background in business litigation across multiple sectors gave me confidence. The recognition he has received in commercial litigation is well-deserved from a purely strategic standpoint. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. While the legal work was solid, there were often delays in receiving updates. Responses to emails could take several days, and at times, I felt I had to follow up to get clarity on next steps or billing questions. For straightforward matters, his expertise is undeniable, but if you value frequent, proactive communication, you may need to set very clear expectations from the outset. The outcome of my matter was satisfactory, aligning with the competent but not exceptional service I received overall.
