Adequate representation in a complex business dispute

I engaged Hugh Connor and his team at Kelly Hart & Hallman to handle a significant commercial dispute for my company. There is no question about his deep legal knowledge and the firm's resources. His 32 years of experience, particularly in commercial litigation, were evident in the strategic approach he outlined. He referenced his background in antitrust and First Amendment matters, which was relevant to the competitive aspects of our case, and his recognition in these areas is well-deserved. Ultimately, the matter was resolved, and the outcome was acceptable. However, my rating reflects some operational frustrations. Communication was sometimes delayed, with responses taking longer than expected, which created anxiety during critical phases. While his analysis was sharp, the explanations could be highly technical, and I occasionally felt I had to work to fully grasp the implications for my business. The billing was precise but substantial, as one would expect from a top-tier Fort Worth firm. Mr. Connor is a competent and seasoned attorney who achieved the primary goal, but the client experience in terms of accessibility and managing expectations could be more consistent.
