Knowledgeable but communication could be more consistent

I engaged Mr. Neiswender to assist with a complex estate plan that involved a family business and significant out-of-state assets, a situation where his decades of experience and LLM in Taxation from NYU were clearly valuable. His analysis of the tax implications and his recommendations for asset protection structures were thorough and demonstrated the expertise behind his professional recognitions. The final documents were precisely crafted. However, the process itself felt somewhat disjointed. There were periods of several days where I received no updates, and responses to emails could be slow, which created some anxiety given the sensitive nature of the planning. While I never doubted his technical competence, the client service aspect—managing expectations and maintaining a steady flow of communication—was merely adequate. For straightforward matters, his depth is undeniable, but be prepared to follow up proactively if you need regular status checks throughout your engagement.
