A Director in Houston Harbaugh's Estates and Trusts Group, Heidi Rai Stewart assists individuals in the creation of estate plans, probate, and estate and trust administration. Her work in these areas extends to Special Needs planning and Long Term Care planning, including Elder Law. As a natural outcome of her practice, she has gained significant experience in Orphans’ Court matters such as Will contests, guardianships, and actions relating to undue influence, and breaches of fiduciary duty. Heidi also represents both individual and corporate fiduciaries, including Executors, Trustees, Guardians, Agents serving under a Powers of Attorney or Health Care Agents serving under an Advance Directive/Living Will. She also is accredited to represent clients in Veteran’s Administration proceedings.She has earned several pro bono awards for her efforts in developing materials for Neighborhood Legal Services’s Older & Wiser series, and for her pro bono service on the Legal Advisory Board of the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force.Heidi has spoken on estate planning, probate, advance directives, special needs planning, long-term care planning, elder law, and related topics on behalf of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the U.S. Postal Inspector’s Office, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, Passavant Hospital Foundation, Quality Insights Renal Network 4 and Neighborhood Legal Services Association, with whom she presented nationally at the Equal Justice Center’s annual meeting in Austin, Texas.
